Australian Idol winner and pop sensation Guy Sebastian has booked Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tenn. to record his new album. Sebastian is working with producer Steve Cropper, known worldwide as a member of Booker T. & The MG's, the Blues Brothers Band, as well as co-writer of Otis Redding’s “(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay” and countless other Memphis hits.

Since winning the Australian Idol competition in 2003, Sebastian has released three Top 5 albums and seven Top 20 singles, and has sold more than one million albums and singles in Australia alone. He has also had substantial success overseas with Number One hits in New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Cropper and Sebastian are recording with engineer Curry Weber and assistant Alan Burcham. The record, which features soul classics with Guy's signature treatment, features Cropper on guitar along with Booker T. & The MG's bassist Duck Dunn and drummer Steve Potts.
