AKG Acoustics introduced three new German-made K & M microphone stands. The three new stands, model numbers KM256/80, KM260/80 and KM260/85, feature one-hand, soft-touch grip releases that are designed for quick and easy height adjustment.

The new KM256/80 ($108, pictured) microphone stand has a tripod base that folds up for maximum stability and ease of transport. This base design is often used with a boom for onstage instrument miking. It features a height range of 37.4 to 60.2 inches and weighs 4.7 pounds.

AKG’s KM260/80 ($99) microphone stand has a heavy, round cast-iron base designed for stability. Intended for vocalists and instrument applications, this base has a compact, space-saving design for stage use. It features a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches and weighs 14.7 pounds.

The KM260/85 ($86) microphone stand has a lightweight, round base designed to save space onstage during performances. The compact base design is intended for onstage vocals, and has a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches and weighs 8.8 pounds.
