The Associated Production Music, a provider of library music services for media and entertainment production, is joining the Young Musicians Foundation to offer a fellowship program to expose young musicians to the variety of opportunities available in the business of film and television music production, supervision and licensing.

One fellow will be selected to learn about the music industry from every perspective in 16 4-hour sessions including: a one-on-one meeting with a film composer; a live TV or movie sound mix; a debut orchestra rehearsal; meeting with the L.A. Philharmonic's librarian; and meetings with top APM executives in music direction, marketing, copyright and licensing.

The inaugural fellowship begins during the summer of 2004. A stipend will be provided. Applications are due by May 19, 2004.

To be eligible for consideration for this fellowship, you must: be a young musician between the ages of 18 to 25 years of age (as of May 1); be familiar with standard orchestral score notation; have transportation; be eligible for U.S. employment; be able to provide relevant references upon request.

If you meet the guidelines outlined above, please apply online at: www.ipressroom.com/pr/apm/info/fellowship.asp
