Audio-Technica U.S. recently held its seventh One-Day Charity Sale promotional event with proceeds of more than $20,000 going to nonprofit organizations.

Of those charities, proceeds were given to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada (www.childrenswish.ca), which works with the community to provide children with high-risk, life-threatening illnesses the opportunity to realize their most heartfelt wish. Other charities included the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), the largest non-government-funded organization for cancer research in the U.S.; Child Welfare League of America (CWLA, www.cwla.org), an association of almost 1,200 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist more than 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year with a wide range of services; America’s Second Harvest (www.secondharvest.org) the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States; MusiCares Foundation (www.grammy.com/musicares), established in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Inc. that focuses attention and resources of the music industry on the health, human service and welfare needs of all music people; Haven of Rest Ministries (www.havenofrest.org), a non-profit, non-denominational Christian social-service organization; and Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (www.nphamigos.org), A.C. (Mexico), which has cared for orphaned and abandoned children in Central America since 1954.

Commenting on the One-Day Charity Sale, Audio-Technica U.S. president/CEO Philip Cajka stated, “We are committed to supporting these charitable organizations for all the great work they do. For the seventh year in a row, the success of this event again surpassed our expectations and it is a privilege to be able to contribute to the important causes addressed by these charities.”
