Behringer launched three console-style powered mixers, the EUROPOWER PMX1000, EUROPOWER PMX3000 and EUROPOWER PMX5000, which are ultracompact 2x 300-watt (PMX1000) and 2x 400-watt (PMX3000 and PMX5000) powered mixers that incorporate COOLAUDIO, the company’s amplification technology. The PMX Series mixers are expected to ship in the first quarter of 2004.

All three table-top PMXs offer flexible I/O options, such as four mono and four stereo channels (PMX1000), eight mono and four stereo (PMX3000) and 12 mono and four stereo channels (PMX5000) with studio-grade IMP “Invisible” Mic Preamps on all or most mono channels. The PMX1000 and PMX3000 feature one 24-bit stereo effects processor, while the PMX5000 offers two independent 24-bit stereo effects processors with 99 VIRTUALIZER presets, each including reverbs, delays, chorus, flanger and more. The company’s FBQ Feedback Detection System reveals critical frequencies on the EQ’s fader LEDs, making easy feedback removal possible without using external equipment. In addition, there 3-band channel EQs, switchable pad and clip LEDs on all mono channels, as well as a stereo 7-band graphic EQ for precise frequency correction of monitor and main outputs. A special Voice Canceller function removes singer's voice from recordings for Karaoke applications.

The company’s Speaker Processing function adjusts frequency response to match professional speaker systems such as the its EUROLIVE Series, and a Standby switch mutes all input channels during breaks while background music is provided via tape inputs. The internal switch-mode power supply (100 to 240V) provides maximum flexibility, noise-free audio, superior transient response and lowest possible power consumption.
