The new two-way I/O 5 (pictured, left) and I/O 8 loudspeakers from Community offers high sensitivity and power handling over their full range of operation and can be used indoors or out.

With a frequency response of 80 to 18k Hz, the I/O 5 weighs 5 1/2 pounds and measures 11.2x6.7x6.3 (HxWxD) inches. Equipped with a smooth-performing 1/2-inch diaphragm Mylar dome tweeter and a long-throw 5-inch woofer, the mini-system can handle 60 watts of power.

An 8-inch, two-way system, the I/O 8 has the capacity to handle 100 watts of power and is operable between 65 to 18k Hz. The I/O 8 measures 20x10.6x10.2 (HxWxD) inches and weights 35 pounds, and similar to the I/O 5, the I/O 8 houses its own auto-resetting protective circuitry.

Outfitted with weather-resistant polypropylene woofer cones and rust-proof aluminum grilles, both loudspeakers can withstand high-humidity environments.

Available in black or white, each cabinet is made using rugged ABS plastic. Yokes are included, and multi-angled brackets are optional with each system; both are also offered with 70/100V line transformer options tapped at 40, 20, 10 and 5W.

Suggested retail prices are $109 for the I/O 5 and $179 for the I/O 8.
