The Music-Can is a fully configured software sampler/synthesizer turnkey computer to run Tascam GigaStudio, Native Instruments Kontakt and other high-performance soft samplers or synthesizers.

The base unit comprises a 1U rack chassis (19x13 inches, WxD) that features a single slim CD drive opening, ventilation opening, power switch and LEDs. Its Freetech motherboard offers a serial port, a parallel port, a VGA output port, two USB 1.1 ports, a 10/100base-T Ethernet port, a FireWire port, line in/audio in 1/8-inch ports, PS/2 mouse port and a keyboard port. Other features include an 80GB hard drive with 8.5ms access time and 2MB buffer; DVD/CD-ROM drive with 8x DVD speed and 24x CD-ROM speed; M-Audio Delta 410 24/96 audio card (four analog in, eight analog out, with S/PDIF I/O and 3ms pop and click-free latency); Windows ME OS; Acousi-Therm control for fully automatic monitoring of temperatures and fan speed; NetMIDI drivers for low latency, low jitter, MIDI-over-network, PC (Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2K/XP) and Mac (OS 8.x-9.x and OS X) with full auto-configuration; and restore CD with multilevel restore.
