EARTHWORKS P30/C AND P30HC
November 2006—It’s “up periscope” with Earthworks’ (www.earthworksaudio.com) new P30/C and P30HC periscope mics. The frequency response spans from 30 to 30k Hz, and a mini-gooseneck design lets them tuck into the tightest spots.

EARTHWORKS DRUMKIT SYSTEM
November 2004—The DrumKit™ System provides a better drum sound with three mics than seven or more quality mics from other manufacturers. Proprietary Earthworks mics with incredible impulse response and short diaphragm settling time capture full percussive attacks and minute details that other microphones mask. The system includes new 25kHz mics and comes in two versions: The recording DK25/R has two TC25 omnis for overheads and an SR25 cardioid for kick drum; and the live performance DK25/L has two SR25 cardioids for overheads and SR25 for kick. Retail: $2,095. TO READ THE REVIEW, CLICK HERE.

EARTHWORKS SR69 & SR68
June 2001—Earthworks offers handheld vocal mics in cardioid (SR69) or hypercardioid (SR68) versions. Both are phantom-powered condenser designs with frequency response extending beyond 20 kHz and 145dB SPL handling capability. The mics are available in black, silver and crimson finishes, and each includes a removable windscreen for use in instrumental live or studio applications. Retail for the SR68 is $450; the SR69 is $400.

EARTHWORKS M30BX
October 2000—The M30BX is a battery-powered version of the M30 reference mic. It is accurate within +/- 1 dB from 9 Hz to 27k Hz and runs for 1,500 hours on a single AA battery. It will drive a single-ended input just fine. A switch allows 14 dB of gain, enough to drive most sound cards directly for laptop field use.
