Based on the successful launch of the Electro-Voice Gladiator in 2003, the company has introduced two Gladiator system packages. The Gladiator Series features two models—the Gladiator 115 (15-inch, two-way) and the Gladiator 118 (18-inch subwoofer)—that are designed to withstand the rigorous demands of live sound, DJ and A/V applications.

The G115 two-way includes the high-output EVS-15FR 15-inch woofer and offers 60-degree by 40-degree controlled coverage, DH2010 compression driver for extended high frequency, high sensitivity (99 dB) and 400W continous/1,600W peak power rating.

The G118 sub includes the EVS-18S 18-inch woofer with high-power four-layer voice coil, extended response to 32 Hz, built-in crossover for use as a three-way system, 400W continous/1,600W peak power rating and boosts low-frequency output to 134 dB.

Used together, the system allows one amplifier channel to drive the sub’s built-in crossover that provides the full-range output; no additional crossovers or amps are required. Originally matched to the E-V Q66 amplifier—with up to 850W per channel—the company has added the CP2200 Class-H Compact Precision Series Power Amplifier to the Gladiator System.
