Future Media Concepts, a digital media training center, and Sorenson Services USA, a streaming media encoding, consulting and training provider, have launched a new training seminar, the Ultimate Streaming Seminar, to be held at Future Media Concepts training centers in New York (September 13 and November 29), Philadelphia (October 4 and December 13) and Boston (September 19 and December 6).

The Ultimate Streaming Seminar is a two-day event of intensive training covering MPEG, QuickTime, Real Media and Windows Media solutions for both video-on-demand and live streaming. The seminar features solutions from Apple, Media100, Microsoft, Real Networks and Sorenson Media. Also featured are services from streaming hosting partners Globix and BopJet. Attendees will learn advanced encoding techniques to achieve high-quality results and examine the pros and cons of different delivery strategies.

"Web video is the hottest and fastest growing area of new technology, and our customers have been asking for training that covers all the streaming formats," commented Ben Kozuch, president of Future Media Concepts.

"We wanted to create an event where digital media professionals could get advanced training on all the major streaming media formats all in one place," said Dale Sorenson, president of Sorenson Services USA.
