Ranging in size from the 830-watt L-800 to the 2,400W L-2400 (shown), the new L Series amplifiers from Inter-M Americas Inc. are now shipping. Each occupying two rackspaces, the four 2-channel amplifiers feature fan-forced air that enters a front panel intake port and exits via a rear panel exhaust outlet. Safeguarding clip limiting circuitry is also offered as standard, as well as front panel indicators monitoring output levels, power on/off, clipping, stereo, parallel or bridged mono modes, and activation of protective circuits.

On the rear panel, both binding posts and Speakon-type connectors are provided at the outputs. Each input is outfitted with a connector that accepts either a 1/4-inch TRS or an XLR connector. A clip limiter switch is also on the back, along with a highpass filter switch with selectable 30Hz and 50Hz positions.

At 4 ohms in bridged mono mode, the L-800 produces 830W per channel. Conversely, the L-1400 has an output of 1,400W per channel, the L-1800 at 1,800W and the L-2400 offers 2,400W. Frequency response on all models is 20-20k Hz, while signal-to-noise ratios on each is +/-100 dB. In addition to clip limiting, other safeguarding circuits found onboard include power on/off muting and thermal overload protection.
