Mackie announced the completion of an agreement with UK-based Raw Material Software, in which Mackie will assume worldwide distribution and marketing efforts for Tracktion™ software, a new audio/MIDI workstation.

Mackie also announced plans to release an update in early 2004 that will allow Tracktion to interface with Mackie Control Universal.

Tracktion is compatible with Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP, as well as Mac OS X 10.2 and above. The 24-bit, 96k Spike Powered Recording system is the first Mackie product to incorporate Tracktion, with more to follow. Free demo versions of Tracktion are currently available at www.mackie.com, and the item will be available for purchase through the site in February. Tracktion with Mackie Control Universal support will be available by the end of March 2004.
