At the upcoming 111th AES Convention (September 21-24, 2001), AES student members from around the world will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about mentoring opportunities in the audio industry.

On Friday, September 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the "Building Your Career Via Mentoring" panel, moderated by Keith Hatschek, will discuss the benefits of mentor relationships and practical strategies to develop a network of industry contacts via mentors. Hatschek is president of Keith Hatschek & Associates and author of the recent book, How to Get a Job in the Music and Recording Industry.

Additionally, during the afternoons of Saturday (September 22) and Sunday (September 23), AES student members can participate in a one-on-one mentor session with leading audio professionals from a variety of fields. Student sign-ups for these sessions will be based on a first-come, first-served basis until the available appointments are filled.
