Mix Regional

The Mix Regional section for Mix's September 2014 issue focuses on Miami. Send us your studio news: updates, sessions, new rooms, plus club performances and installations. Let the Mix audience know what is going on! Send photos and descriptions to mixeditorial@nbmedia.com.

Mix Online's Forum pages -- the Helpfile, Talkback, and Horror Stories -- are now readable by anyone...no registration required. "We've opened up the Forums to everybody by putting in a guest log-on," explained Web editor Paul Lehrman. "We would like to see more people participate in our Forums, which provide some of the best on-line cross-specturm help in the industry. But Web users are sometimes a little reluctant to fill out a registration form when they don't know what they're getting. This way, they can browse all of the Forums and see the kind of quality discussions that are going on."

Posting a message to the Forum still requires registration. "The membership form is very straightforward, and takes only a minute," said Lehrman. "Of course, it doesn't cost anything. And in line with good Web practices, we allow any member to opt out of receiving e-mail from us or any of our clients, either when they register, or any time after that."

Registration is still required to view the Mix full-text-and-graphics archives, which date back to 1996; the Field Test archives; or the Fun pages, which is the most comprehensive collection of audio, computer, and music humor on the Internet.
