The National Association of Broadcasters announced that NAB2004 will feature a new track, Worship Technology Conference, which will focus on technologies used in producing programming for churches and ministries, to be held April 19-22, 2004, in Las Vegas.

Sessions at the Worship Technology Conference, co-produced by Technologies for Worship magazine, will cover systems integration, television and video production, audio production, multimedia presentation, Internet and Webcasting, and lighting for broadcasting.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the NAB to bring these valuable educational resources that help houses of worship," said Shelagh Rogers, founder and publisher of Technologies for Worship magazine and organizer of the Inspiration Technology Conference.

In addition to conference programming, a new area in the exhibit Radio/Audio hall, the Sound Mixing Pavilion, will showcase condensed presentations from session presenters. The pavilion will feature a hands-on live multitrack DVD project with personal instruction from two audio veterans. Participants will learn everything from setting proper levels to fine-tuning reverb parameters and mixing sound for broadcast.

"We're excited to be able to offer this new educational opportunity to a growing segment of our attendee base," said NAB VP of science and technology John Marino. "The sessions will allow those in worship production to share ideas and gather new strategies on how to create and produce superior programming for their audiences."
