Tascam (Montebello, Calif.) announced the appointment of John Mozzi to the newly created position of East Coast direct sales engineer for its production products group.

Based in Connecticut, Mozzi will be responsible for production product sales and support in the greater New York area and other eastern U.S. territories, including Boston, Washington D.C., Orlando, Fl., Chicago and Nashville.

"We're extremely happy to have John onboard," said Jim Lucas, Tascam production products group manager. "John's wide range of experience in professional audio and, in particular, digital dubber sales makes him uniquely qualified to fill this position."

Prior to joining Tascam, Mozzi held a variety of sales and marketing positions with a number of pro audio and musical instrument manufacturers, including WaveFrame, Akai and Korg. Additionally, Mozzi was an independent producer/engineer and owner of Pulse Wave Recording Studio (Trumball, Conn.), where he developed new artist talent and was involved in all aspects of music production.
