The final nominations for the 37th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards were announced with Brooks & Dunn atop the list, each with six nominations. The awards will be presented during a live, prime-time television show broadcast by CBS at the Universal Ampitheater in L.A., Wednesday, May 22, 2002.

Nominees and winners of the Academy of Country Music Awards are voted on by members of the Academy of Country Music.
In addition to these nominations, the Home Depot Humanitarian Award is a new addition to the Academy of Count Music Awards lineup. The award will become the first "Fan-voted" award in teh 37-year history of the ACM Awards.
The Home Depot Humanitarian Award was created to recognize an artist or group in the country music industry who is commited to serving others, has a generosity of spirit and a dedication to helping build the dreams of those in need.
