PreSonus offers this special package: its TubePRE, $100 worth of accessories (PreSonus gig bag, XLR cable, microphone shock-mount) and a Studio Projects B1 condenser mic for $199.

Jim Odom, president of PreSonus Audio, said, “I don’t know where else you can get a high-quality mic pre, a rugged and responsive microphone and all of these accessories for less than $199. This is one of those rare opportunities where you can greatly increase your audio quality without breaking your bank.”

The TubePRE is a single-channel preamp based on a 12AX7 vacuum-tube circuit that provides a stable, transformer-free signal path. The unit can be used as the first stage of a live or studio system, as a direct box or in a side effects chain. The dual-servo gain stage design employs no capacitors, providing ultralow-noise performance and wide dynamic control that allows the TubePRE to boost the desirable signal without increasing unwanted background noise.

The Studio Projects B1 condenser microphone is a large-diaphragm cardioid microphone that employs high-quality transformerless design and extremely low noise. The B1 is a versatile microphone with a true 1-inch, 3um, gold-sputtered large diaphragm in a pressure-gradient transducer capsule. The B1 is great for production, broadcast, voice-overs, vocals and instruments.
