Ultimate Sound Bank’s X-Treme FX is a virtual instrument that allows users to create and trigger complex sound effects, Foley and atmospheric sounds. Engineered from the ground up, X-Treme FX is geared toward creating effects for video, CD-ROM, games, music and broadcast programs.

With a 3-Gigabyte library delivering thousands of creative, readily accessible sound effects, X-Treme FX’s sound files are divided into categories such as science fiction, drones and sub, natural sounds, urban sounds, Foleys and musical effects. In addition, X-Treme FX includes a number of preset sound “scenes” that automatically load up an ensemble of related sounds for live mixing or creating a virtual soundscape.

X-Treme FX is powered by USB’s UVI Engine, and its interface places all sound-shaping controls in a single window for ease of use.

X-Treme FX is available for VST, RTAS, AudioUnits, MAS, DXI and MachFive, and is compatible with PC, Mac OS 9/X.
