SKAN PA Hire (Reading, England) supplied the touring system for The Darkness’ Why Stop There? tour, including an L-Acoustics reinforcement system comprising 12 dV-DOSC, four SB218 and three dV subs a side. Pedro Ferreira, the band’s front-of-house engineer, mixed on a Heritage 2000, while monitor engineer Andy Shillito relied on an XL3 and used Turbosound TFM 450 wedges.

SKAN’s Scott Essen performed the dual roles of QVT and front-of-house minder. Nick Stagg assisted Essen with the system and took care of the equipment onstage. The band retained the control element of the system for use on their shows supporting Meat Loaf in Europe throughout November.

In December, they returned to the UK for their sold-out Elf Hazard tour and collected an enhanced dV-DOSC system from SKAN for the larger venues.
