Solid State Logic, winner of this year’s Technical Grammy Award and winner of three consecutive TEC Awards, announced strong sales of both C100 and C200 (pictured at right) Digital Consoles for 2003. According to SSL, sales activity reflects rapid industry adoption of the new C100/200 digital console line since the launch of the C100 at last April's NAB. The broadcast industry has embraced the console’s design, features and ability to meet the challenges of DTV. The C200, also introduced at NAB, has drawn clients from both the music and post-production industries due to the console’s ability to address high-bandwidth recording standards.

Rick Plushner, president of SSL North America, said, “Solid State Logic has created the C100/200 to meet the demands of the broadcast industry as it migrates to all digital production. Our C100 console has been instantly recognized by broadcasters in the U.S., including ABC World News Tonight With Peter Jennings, Comcast, NBA, the Golf Channel and the Food Network. Internationally, we have seen sales to NHK Japan, Disney Broadcasting, Danish Broadcasting Seoul Broadcasting and Channel 9 Australia. We’re very happy with such an immediate response, with many users now owning more than one console.”

SSL also reported one of its largest orders of the year for the Fox Network. Fox Promotions and Fox Sports ordered a total of six C200 consoles for post-production, making them among the first to base their facilities around the C-range platform.

C100 Digital Broadcast Consoles have been sold to facilities around the world, topping 15 installations since its release, including two consoles to Danish Broadcasting; one to the Golf Channel, Fla.; one to NHK Sapporo, Japan; one to Disney Broadcast; one to NBA Entertainment, N.J.; one to Core Digital, Ariz.; two consoles to Seoul Broadcast (SBS), Korea; one to TCN Channel 9, Australia; one to ABC TV3, N.Y.; one to Nippon Hoso, Japan; one to MBC, Korea; one to the Food Network, N.Y.; and one to Comcast, Penn.

C200 sales reached 15 and spanned the globe, including one console to Office Terra, Japan; one to WCU; one to Underdog Entertainment, Calif.; one to Imagica Akasaka, Japan; one to Bicoastal Recording, N.Y.; four to Fox Promo, Calif.; two to Fox Sports, Calif.; one to Croatian Radio, Croatia; one to Omnibus, Japan; one to TV Tokyo, Japan; and one for Odds on Recording, Las Vegas.
