Summer Sessions: From Student to Studio will be held on July 19, 2003, at Soundstage Studios and the SAE Institute in Nashville.

This all-day event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and is comprised of four parts: studio demos, educational seminars, an industry panel and a performance. Steinberg will be presenting a series of Nuendo 2.0 demos at Soundstage Studios with Nashville notables Chuck Ainlay, Gary Pacsoza and Steve Bishir. Steinberg product specialists will be on hand for one-on-one demos and a Nuendo basics course with Primal Gear. NARAS will be hosting an educational seminar series at the Nashville SAE institute on topics including mic techniques, digital storage solutions, monitor placement and more. These seminars are presented in conjunction with top pro audio companies Studio Network Solutions, Waves, Apogee, Audio-Technica and NHT.

The Producers and Engineers Wing of NARAS will host a panel discussion entitled "Artful Use of Advanced Recording Technologies." This panel will be held in the lobby of BMI and moderated by Frank Wells. Panelists include Chuck Ainlay, Jeff Balding, Steve Bishir, Tony Brown, George Massenburg and Gary Pacsoza. The day will conclude with a party and performance featuring the music of "Blue Mother Tupelo." There will be food and drink provided, and the show will be recorded live using Steinberg's Nuendo 2.0.

"We are excited to co-host an event with such great companies and organizations," said Brian McConnon, U.S. marketing manager for Steinberg. "The 'Student to Studio' concept provides something for everyone, and is a great environment for us to introduce Nuendo 2.0. The Nashville audio community has shown us a lot of support and we are proud to co-host the first of what we hope to be many of these events here."

"The Recording Academy and its Producers & Engineers Wing are thrilled to be working with Steinberg on this exciting event," said Nancy Shapiro, VP, South region of the Recording Academy. "We share the common goal of addressing issues that impact the well-being and future for producers, engineers and remixers."

This event is free to attend. Shuttle busses will be running from the Convention Center to the event throughout the day. RSVP at 615/254-6955.
