As a prelude to CMJ 2009, Avatar Studios held its first-ever "Ask the Producers" panel on October 19. The event featured Grammy winning producers Steve Lillywhite (U2, Dave Matthews Band), Roy Hendrickson (Cheap Trick, Wilco and Feist) and Kevin Killen (Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel).

Independent artists in attendance were granted the rare opportunity to open discussions with these music industry giants. Says drummer/producer Billy Atwell: "On so many levels tonight was one of the best I'd had in months. To have been able to attend restored my faith on a number of levels...in music, in myself, in people...the music business...so much. Thank you."

Located in Midtown Manhattan, Avatar has been the Number One choice for music legends including Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Lady Gaga. Visit Avatar Studios at www.avatarstudios.net.
