BIAS Peak Pro Version 7 offers multichannel audio editing.

At the recent AES 2011 Convention, BIAS Inc., announced the release of Peak Pro Version 7.0.3, a new update for its audio editing and mastering application exclusively for the Mac. Peak Pro V. 7.0.3 is optimized for Mac OS X V.10.7 Lion and includes a new application from Sonoris for DDP (Disc Description Protocol) verification and playback. DDP is a professional audio delivery format developed by DCA to ensure accurate replication for CD glass mastering.

"Peak users worldwide have long enjoyed the ability to export DDP file sets," says BIAS' VP of Business Development, Jason E. Davies. "Now, we're including an excellent solution for verifying them before sending them out for replication. The new Peak DDP Player app from Sonoris should be well received and we're excited to include it at no additional charge with Peak 7.ˇ

Peak Pro 7.0.3 is available now as a free downloadable update from the BIAS Website for registered users of Peak Pro 7, and is included with the Peak Studio and Peak Studio XT software suites from BIAS. Both solutions also include editions of the popular SoundSoap, SoundSoap Pro, and Master Perfection Suite plug-ins, with the only difference being that the XT edition extends their compatibility to third party AU, RTAS/AS, and VST host applications. Peak Studio and Peak Studio XT also include SoundSaver, a dedicated application for LP and tape archiving, additional plug-ins, and royalty free audio content.

Peak Studio and Peak Studio XT carry a U.S. suggested retail price of $599 and $1,199 respectively through authorized resellers worldwide. Peak Studio LE is also available at U.S. suggested retail price of $129 and includes an edition of SoundSoap, SoundSaver, Reveal (audio analysis suite), and more for audio editing, restoration, and mastering solution for the budget conscious or entry level customer. Peak Express 7, a streamlined edition at $39.95, is also available from the BIAS Website.

SoundSaver, along with SoundSoap, SoundSoap Pro, and Master Perfection Suite, are also available separately for Mac and Windows with editions starting at $49.95.
