Capital Audio Post recently opened in Merrifield, Va. Services include video editing, sound design, sound mixing, in-studio and ISDN recording, and many other media related services. The facility hosted a two-day open house event that was well attended, beyond the expectations of co-founders Frank Scheuring and Chip Sovek.

The guest list of local film, video and broadcast professionals included network executives, independent producers and freelance talent from the greater Washington, D.C. metro region.

The attendees were free to tour the facility, sit and chat, play ping-pong or darts, and enjoy the appetizers and assorted beverages.

“We worked hard to prepare for the two day party," says Scheuring, “and it was very rewarding to hear so many positive comments about our new operation."

“The atmosphere was very relaxed, it was nice to speak personally with clients we normally trade emails with, our event was not the typical sales-pitch mentality associated with industry functions," adds Sovek. “I can’t wait for the next one.”

Capital Audio Post is located at 8315 Lee Highway in Merrifield, Va., just outside the Capital Beltway. For more information, call 703/712-8757 or visit www.capitalaudiopost.com.
