According to a report by Ann Donahue of Billboard.biz, "The Los Angeles City Council approved a development near the Capitol Records building in Hollywood, provided protective measures are made to the design plan to protect the recording studios under the building.

"The condo development, planned for 6230 Yucca Boulevard, was the focal point of controversy earlier this summer, as EMI and Hollywood preservationists worried that the act of constructing the building—as well as a planned underground parking garage—would damage the acoustics.

"The developer, Second Street Ventures, agreed to a number of efforts to ameliorate construction concerns."
