Cinema Audio Society President, David E. Fluhr, CAS, has announced the timetable for the 50th Annual CAS Awards, which will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, in The Crystal Ballroom of The Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

“This year’s CAS Awards Dinner will be celebrating 50 years in the Advancement of Sound, we’re looking forward to a memorable event and an outstanding group of nominees,” Fluhr says. “The CAS membership has totally embraced our electronic voting process which has resulted in an increase of CAS voter participation in both the CAS Awards and the CAS Technical Awards. We’re also thrilled to be returning to the Crystal Ballroom of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles with its rich heritage in the film community.”

The timeline is as follows:

Monday, October 14, 2013: Submission Forms available online at

Friday, November 15, 2013: Entry Submissions are due by 5 p.m. (PST)

Wednesday, December 11, 2013: Nominations ballot voting begins online

Monday, January 6, 2014: Nominations ballot voting ends online at 5 p.m. (PST)

Tuesday, January 14, 2014: The CAS announces the final five nominees

Wednesday, January 29, 2014: Final voting begins online

Friday, February 14, 2014: Final voting ends online at 5 p.m. (PST)
