Russian TV company NTV has installed a 48-fader Euphonix System 5-B mixing console at its Moscow-based broadcast facility. As one of the country’s only private television channels with federal status, NTV earned its reputation for its honest and accurate newscasts. Founded in 1993, NTV today reaches 120 million Russian viewers and also broadcasts to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Western Europe, parts of Asia, the U.S. and Canada.

Each year NTV has won coveted Russian TV Academy Awards. Moreover, NTV correspondents based all across Russia and the CIS countries, as well as in New York City, Berlin, London and Brussels, have earned prestigious governmental and journalistic awards. NTV has managed to create in Russia a broadcasting standard providing independent insight and unbiased interpretation of events.

Earlier this year, NTV repaired and renovated its infrastructure, re-equipped its station, increased its broadcast signal and expanded its programming to include feature films, popular talk shows and regular television series.

"We consider the Euphonix System 5-B as the basis for future modernizations of our studios as we transition to fully digital broadcasting,” says Lyudmila Anisina, head of NTV's broadcasting department. "Our audio engineers have quickly mastered the Euphonix console, and they look forward to the wide range of possibilities it offers, especially the numerous analog and digital I/O interfaces, controls and resources."
