Eventide has named Sweetwater Sound its Dealer of the Year for 2009. Ray Maxwell, Eventide vice president of sales and marketing, presented the award to Sweetwater founder and president, Chuck Surack, who accepted on behalf of his entire staff at the 2010 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim.

In March, Sweetwater celebrated its 30th anniversary with a customer-centric GearFest, which was attended by thousands of Sweetwater customers and featured exhibits from Eventide as well as hundreds of other vendors.

“Sweetwater has been one of our primary go-to dealers for many years. Their product knowledge and interpersonal skills are exceptional,” states Maxwell. “Overall, Sweetwater’s incredible growth is a direct extension of Chuck’s vision and the diligence and hard work of Sweetwater’s staff. We are honored to be business partners with Chuck and the entire team at Sweetwater.”

“Despite the fact that Sweetwater is the largest single-location professional audio dealer in the United States, they still treat customers the same way they did when they were operating out of Chuck’s basement: on a one-to-one basis,” Maxwell says. “It is with a great deal of gratitude that I present Chuck, and all of the Sweetwater staff, with our Dealer of the Year award for 2009. On behalf of Eventide, I want to thank Chuck and his team for their hard work and the outstanding service they provide our customers on a daily basis. We are looking forward to another successful year with Sweetwater in 2010.”
