On Saturday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, Five Towns College in Dix Hills, N.Y., is hosting a special open house for anyone interested in audio recording. In addition to audio recording, degree programs are offered in music, music business, film/video and mass communication. Five Towns College offers its degree programs to anyone who is starting college, returning to school or thinking about transferring.

At the July 11 open house, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with audio recording faculty, experience live demonstrations and see the college's state-of-the-art facilities. Presentations will include multitrack recording with a live band; recording and producing a soundtrack for film; advanced mixing in stereo and multichannel surround sound; and a MIDI demonstration in song construction.

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Five Towns College holds transfer enrollment days between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Interested students are invited to bring transcripts for an on-the-spot evaluation; application fees are waived on these special days.
