Five Towns College in Dix Hills (Long Island), N.Y., is holding an open house event on its main campus on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Visitors will be able to meet with faculty, staff and students regarding audio recording and music business programs, as well as other programs.
Music faculty will offer presentations on Five Towns College's music education, performance, and songwriting programs with concentrations in audio recording technology or music business. Prospective audio recording students will be able to witness the mixing of a song in one of Five Towns College's recording studios, which features a 72-channel Solid State Logic 9000 J Series board. Five Towns College's film/video production program offers students up-to-date film and video equipment and hands-on experience from the first semester to the last.
The college's career services department will discuss a wide range of internships, job placement and career opportunities. Financial aid and admissions representatives will also be available to answer questions.
