Focusrite's new Midnight plug-ins ($129.99 MSRP) model the company's ISA110 EQ and ISA130 compressor, respectively, which were originally created for the Focusrite Forté console. The Midnight plug-in suite is designed to offer classic ISA EQ and compression in two separate VST, Audio Units and RTAS plug-ins. Both Midnight plug-ins are said to faithfully reproduce the pristine clarity and warmth of the original ISA modules.
Focusrite Midnight Compressor
The Midnight Compressor features compression ratios of 1.5 to infinity; adjustable attack and auto/manual release; and simple, clear metering displaying gain reduction, threshold and input/output levels. Input and makeup gain settings are designed for setting up optimal gain structure.
Focusrite Midnight EQ
The Midnight EQ is a 4-band full-parametric EQ with peaking and shelving, plus lowpass and highpass filters. It includes high-end control up to 15 kHz, +/-16 dB of gain in each band and overlapping midrange frequencies with fully variable Q.
