On Thursday, September 26, the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles will unveil the exhibit "John Fogerty: Wrote A Song For Everyone." The new exhibit will offer visitors a unique look at the musical career of the Grammy Award–winning singer, songwriter and guitarist, who, for more than 45 years, has been making music that continues to speak in a powerful way to generations of musicians and music lovers alike.

The exhibit is named after Fogerty's current album Wrote A Song For Everyone (Vanguard Records), which is hailed by fans and critics alike, including a rare 5-star lead review in Rolling Stone magazine. The album is Fogerty’s ninth studio solo album since disbanding Creedence Clearwater Revival. Produced by Fogerty and mixed by Bob Clearmountain, the album was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville, with the exception of "Proud Mary", which was recorded in New Orleans with Allen Toussaint and the Rebirth Brass Band. Fogerty recorded “Fortunate Son” with Foo Fighters at Dave Grohl's 606 Studio in Los Angeles using the Neve 8028 console featured in Grohl's documentary Sound City.

On display through January 2014, the “John Fogerty: Wrote A Song For Everyone” exhibit will feature the Centerfield “Baseball Bat” guitar, which he played during his solo career; Dobro guitar from 1969’s Green River album cover; Fogerty’s personal scrapbook from his time with Creedence Clearwater Revival; handwritten lyrics to “Proud Mary”; Fogerty’s high school diploma and yearbook; costumes, posters, awards and albums; personal correspondence, tour ephemera and photographs; the original recording contract CCR signed with Fantasy Records that came back to haunt him; and more.

In advance of launching his national concert tour October 10 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Fogerty will appear at the Grammy Museum on Thursday, September 26, at 8 p.m. for an intimate interview and audience Q&A—an event that is already sold out.

The Grammy Museum explores and celebrates the enduring legacies of all forms of music, the creative process, the art and technology of the recording process, and the history of the premier recognition of excellence in recorded music: the Grammy Award. The Grammy Museum features 30,000 square feet of interactive and multimedia exhibits located within L.A. Live, the sports, entertainment and residential district in downtown Los Angeles.
