Nominees for the 51st Grammy Awards were publicly announced last night in a CBS network telecast. Hip-hop artist Lil' Wayne, who appears on Mix magazine's December 2008 cover recognizing the 50th anniversary of Hit Factory Criteria in Miami, scored eight nominations, including Album of the Year. That distinction also went to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss for Raising Sand, which in October won the TEC Award for Record Production/Album.
