Music & Sound (AM&S) is announcing new, lower pricing for the Mark Bass line of instrument amplification and speakers. The Italian-manufactured line will be on show at the 2004 NAMM Summer Session (Booth #4214, Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville, TN, July 23-25, 2004).
The Mark Bass line includes a wide selection of high-end amplifier heads, speaker cabinets and combos for bass and keyboard players. Since the beginning of this year, Mark Bass equipment has been adopted by George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic, the Black Eyed Peas, Kevin "Brandino" Brandon (OutKast, Jamiroquai), and Paul Ill (Juliette Lewis & The Licks). Mark Bass equipment is also featured prominently on Method & Red every Wednesday on the Fox TV network.
Amplifier heads range from the Little Mark, featuring built-in VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulation), to the T800, which incorporates digital T-Class technology and is capable of delivering over 1000W. All Mark Bass amplifier models include a parallel effect send and variously feature graphic EQ, tube compressor, EQ bypass and Mute-to-Tune footswitch option, and Send To Mix control.
Speaker cabinets suitable for applications in the studio or any size venue Range, from a tuned port 1x12" wedge design to a 6x10" with HF compression driver, all featuring custom B&C neodimium woofers for an improved power-to-weight ratio. The majority of Mark Bass cabinets additionally include variable HF tweeter level control. The lightweight Traveler Series of bass cabinets represent some of the world's smallest yet most powerful units, ranging in size from 1x15" to 4x10". All Mark Bass cabinets can be used stand-alone or in combination with other models.
A Combo Series pairs the cabinets and amp heads into a range of units that offer compact, lightweight portability. Several models incorporate wedge-shaped cabinet designs for deployment in small venue applications.
