APM Music's new film trailer music library, Sonic Elixir, offers two CDs of new compositions from composer/songwriters Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson, who were part of the creative team behind the original score for Cirque du Soleil's KÀ, as well as the Fina open water championship opening ceremonies and the new Saltimbanco arena show. APM states that three more CDs of original compositions are being written for release later in the year.

APM’s Sonic Elixir library is crafted for use in motion picture and television advertising, offering custom contributions from a specially selected list of composers and songwriters from around the world.

In their new compositions, Allaire and Ferguson drew from their years of experience in writing music for visual imagery and storytelling, and have now taken these skills from the world of live performance into the unique storytelling methods of film and television advertising.

The first disc, Les Voyages—Lands Beyond: Wonderment, Adventure & Discovery, contains a wide range of styles ranging from electronica textures to adventure-themed rhythms, with a world-beat flair. Disc two, Les Voyages—Inner Journeys: Human Pathos, Conflict & Triumph, is made of beautiful orchestral cinematic images also with a distinct world beat flavor.

All of the compositions are provided in full length as well as 30-second versions and are available for audition, downloading and licensing from APM’s music search engine.

The CDs were executive produced by APM music director Edwina Travis-Chin.
