Disc Makers has joined forces with CD Baby to provide do-it-yourself web design and hosting, now available for free for the first six months to any artist who manufactures their next CD project with Disc Makers. After the six-month free trial, membership and hosting will be only $20 per month. Artists who do not have a CD project in the works with Disc Makers can still sign up for a year’s worth of hosting for $200, which includes the first two months for free.

With this service, Disc Makers and HostBaby have integrated a number of features for artists including an easy-to-use web design wizard that allows artists to design a customized Website from scratch. The design wizard includes hundreds of pre-built designs into which artists can import their images, text, and sound files. In addition, the pre-built designs can be further customized with other fonts and color schemes and layouts chosen by the artist. Other features include a fully customizable concert calendar, an e-mail list management and mailing program, automatic conversion of audio files to streaming audio, a guestbook, and blog functionality.

Artists’ Websites will be hosted on a lightning-fast server for quick and easy updates, and include a beefy 500MB of storage space, an unlimited number of e-mail accounts, virtually unlimited data transfer, and a web traffic analyzer.
