The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences announced its final nominees for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The nominees are honored for recordings that were released during the eligibility year October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. The academy notes that more or less than five nominations in a category is the result of ties.
The Awards ceremony will be telecast February 10, 2008 at 8 p.m. EST/PST on the CBS network.
Final nominations for Record of the Year are Beyoncé for "Irreplaceable," Beyoncé Knowles, S. Smith and Stargate, producers, and engineers/mixers Jim Caruana, Jason Goldstein and Geoff Rice; Foo Fighters for "The Pretender," Gil Norton, producer, and engineers/mixers Adrian Bushby and Rich Costey; Rihanna featuring Jay-Z for "Umbrella,"Kuk Harrell and C. "Tricky" Stewart, producers, and engineers/mixers Kuk Harrell and Manny Marroquin; Justin Timberlake for "What Goes Around…Comes Around," Nate (Danja) Hills, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, producers, and engineers/mixers Jimmy Douglass and Timbaland; and finally, Amy Winehouse for "Rehab," Mark Ronson, producer, and Tom Elmhirst, engineer/mixer.
