Harrison has introduced Trion, their new digital film/post production, broadcast, and live performance console featuring a traditional surface architecture which reportedly eliminates the need for a central, shared-knobs control panel.
The Trion is Harrison’s latest Generation-3 control surface and exploits Linux and USB technology with the ease of Ethernet connectivity.
Each Trion is Generation-3 compatible and runs on Harrison’s IKIS™ Platform. All consoles features built-in 15-inch monitors strategically positioned above each 8 faders for a dedicated view of each channel’s information. The Trion consoles also feature the exclusive Harrison PreView™ waveform-envelope display which gives the operator a visual representation of the channel name, stem assignments, EQ graph, dynamics graph, aux sends, input metering, and surround panning. A second row of 7-inch monitors can be added for broadcasting application. The small LCD screens eliminate the need for expensive monitor walls often seen in broadcasting facilities.
Controls and assignments for each channel are fully accessible as traditional, vertically arranged strips or in an enhanced version expanded across 8 channels for an intuitive, knob-per-function control, anywhere on the console. This feature, together with dynamic profiling (calling any channel or set of channels to any fader strip or set of fader strips) allows a single Trion to share and support remote control panels in applications where distributed control is desired.
Trion is available in dedicated versions and sizes for broadcast, post-production, live performance and music.
