MXL Microphones, the professional audio division of Marshall Electronics, has officially launched the MXL Experience, a nationwide video contest for singers, rappers, musicians and other artists who have talent to share. The contest invites artists from all genres to upload a video recording of their original songs and/or score on www.youtube.com/group/mxltalent. Prizes will be awarded to the top six videos.

According to MXL, the contest gives promising artists a once in a lifetime opportunity to show their work to thousands of viewers. “There is a huge pool of raw talent out there, much of which never gets seen or heard,” states Roy Harper, Business Development Manager, Professional Audio Division of Marshall Electronics Inc. “We would like to see some of these talented people given an outlet for their work, and we are offering some great prizes as incentives.”

The MXL Experience Video Contest will run until March 11, 2009. At the end of the promotion period, the top 25 videos will be selected on the basis of ratings and number of views. A panel of music professionals will then review the videos, and prizes will be awarded to the top six videos after judging is completed. First prize for the MXL Experience is the MXL Genesis microphone. Second prize is a pair of MXL V88 microphones; third prize is the MXL 440/441 microphone and two MXL MicMate USB adaptors. Fourth prize is a pair of Mogami Cables; 5th and 6th prize winners receive a pack of three MXL Fox dynamic microphones.

Full details, as well as the contest rules, are available on MXL's Website at www.mxlmics.com.
