NHTPro will soon replace its former flagship A-20 powered studio monitor with the newly designed, single-channel M-20 system, which features an updated cabinet and companion single-channel, single rack space 250 Watt control amplifier.
Scheduled to ship in early April, the NHT M-20 is designed for both professional and project sound mixers working in multichannel environments. The M-20 single-channel design replaces both the popular two-channel A-20 (L/R) and companion C-20 (center/surround) models.
The M-20 features a newly designed gun-metal gray cabinet that adds additional bracing around the woofer and provides improved cabinet geometry for surround soundfields. As a direct descendant of the A-20, the M-20 utilizes the same sophisticated drive units, including a long-throw 6.5” woofer and a 1” aluminum dome tweeter, both of which are shielded.
Included with each M-20 monitor is a single-rack-space, Class-A/B 250 Watt control amplifier with front panel optimization controls (boundary proximity, distance proximity, input sensitivity) placed within reach of the listening position. A unique system status display illustrates AC line voltage, heat sink temperature, or average real-time sound pressure level.
Similar to other NHT Pro Audio studio monitors, the M-20 will be available direct from the company in North America, and through its international distribution partner MI7 in the U.K., Germany, Spain, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
