PreSonus Audio Electronics is demonstrating the all new Firebox FireWire computer recording system at the CES trade show in Las Vegas Nev., January 5 – 9, 2005 in the CES South Plaza in the Studio at Home Tech Zone, booth 800011G.
The Windows and Mac-compatible Firebox has the ability to record and playback six inputs and ten outputs simultaneously at 24-bit/96k resolution. The Firebox is housed in a palm-sized metal chassis, and includes two high quality PreSonus microphone/ instrument inputs, two analog line inputs, eight balanced analog line outputs, headphone output as well as SPDIF and MIDI input/output. The Firebox can be buss-powered by a six-pin FireWire connector. An external power supply is also included for four-pin FireWire computer systems.
The Firebox ships with Steinberg’s Cubase LE 48-track audio production software. It will retail for $499.95 with an estimated street price in the U.S. of $399.95.
