Pyramind Inc. a leading independently-owned and operated audio production and training facility in San Francisco, has tapped Paul Lipson as Vice President of Business Development. Lipson formerly served as the chief academic officer at Ex’pression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville, Calif., and continues in his role as president of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).

G.A.N.G is a worldwide association of music composers and sound designers that empowers the game audio community by providing resources, education and recognition for its members.

“Mr. Lipson’s diverse, yet convergent, background in education and production is the perfect match for Pyramind,” says Executive Director Gregory J. Gordon. Teamed with veteran composer and now Director of Audio Production Services, David Earl, Pyramind is building a team of audio production veterans with a specific goal toward becoming San Francisco’s premier interactive sound and music development and training facility.

Lipson, a conservatory trained musician and composer, originally founded Hit Point Music (HPM) in Boston, a development company specializing in music for games, film and television. His team at HPM worked on projects for America Online, Hasbro Interactive, Harmonix/Sonic Implants, Associated Production Music, Hyundai Automotive, the Environmental Protection Agency, Urbane-Dog Creative, and Killer Tracks. Lipson also received the G.A.N.G. 2006 Distinguished Service Award for his work in education and advocacy for the interactive audio arts.

David Earl is an Apple Logic power user and combines his skills as a composer, producer and instructor in his role at Pyramind. Earl has composed music for projects ranging from Nintendo's Pokémon game to Nickelodeon's Fairly OddParents animated series, and Earl's clients include Backbone Entertainment, Sony Computer Entertainment America, ActiVision, LeapFrog and ImaginEngine.
