Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH announces a Version 6.1 update to its WaveLab 6 and WaveLab Studio 6 applications. The 6.1 updates offer new Internet publishing features that include RSS 2.0 support, a built-in FTP client, templates designed for easier setup and more.
“WaveLab 6.1 unites two worlds for the first time, namely professional audio editing and Internet publishing,” says Frank Simmerlein, Steinberg’s director of marketing. “The specially developed podcast tools are extremely well-integrated within the program and enable Internet publishing directly from WaveLab.”
WaveLab incorporates Red Book-compatible CD mastering, an Audio Montage feature for multichannel editing, audio restoration tools and DVD-A authoring (WaveLab only). It also offers sample accurate audio editing in stereo and surround; sample rates up to 384 kHz (WaveLab) or 192 kHz (WaveLab Studio) with 32-bit floating point resolution; a comprehensive suite of real-time metering and analysis tools; and support for standard audio formats including WAV, AIFF, Audio Units, MP3, MP2 (M.U.S.I.C.A.M.), RAW, Windows Media 9 and AES-31 import and export.
WaveLab 6.1 is $699 and WaveLab Studio 6.1 is $399. The update to 6.1 is available as a free download to all registered WaveLab 6 and WaveLab Studio 6 customers from www.steinberg.net.
