Telefunken's new large-diaphragm condenser microphone, the CU-29, has been in development for 18 months. The CU-29 Copperhead was designed by the in-house engineering team, with outside consultation from top amplifier designers. The CU-29 Copperhead (pictured) is based around a unique circuit that features a New Old Stock (NOS) Telefunken vacuum tube, custom audio transformer and a fixed-cardioid large-diaphragm capsule. Sonically, the microphone exhibits similar characteristics found in its R-F-T Series counterparts, the AR-51 and the AK-47 MkII.

The new Sonnox Fraunhofer Pro-Codec plug-in makes it possible to precisely audition codecs in real time. This breaks away from the current time-consuming cycle of having to encode the mix to MP3/AAC, preview it, tweak it and then go back and re-render. The entire process is accomplished on the fly, and frees the engineer to focus on producing a compensated, optimized mix.
