IsoAcoustics Inc. in Markham, Ontario, will launch its new ISO-L8R200 stands for studio monitors in the U.S. on September 27, 2012. Based on the same patented isolation system introduced in the ISO-L8R155 at the 2012 Winter NAMM in Anaheim, Calif., this new stand is designed for larger studio monitors and subwoofers to provide a high level of isolation and improved sound quality.

IsoAcoustics ISO-L8R200 stands promise a high level of acoustic isolation with a patented design that allows the speakers to “float” while maintaining all movement on-axis to improve clarity. With 14 variations in height and tilt adjustments, they can be used on desktops, meter bridges or floor mounted stands to optimize studio monitor placement and focus. Subwoofers are said to offer tighter bass punch and superior bass decoupling.

The ISO-L8R200 stand has an overall size of 8x10 inches (WxD) and can be configured to either the 4-inch or 8-inch height. The stand can be tilted up or down to as much as 6.5 degrees, to suit any application.

The company states that it conducted extensive independent testing to tune the ISO-L8R200 stands and ensure the same isolation and sound clarity that is currently available with the ISO-L8R155. “Our stands are not just an isolating material," says IsoAcoustics founder Dave Morrison. "They are isolating devices that are designed and tuned to respond in specific ways to provide a high level of decoupling and improve sound clarity. The result is tighter bass with more clarity and openness throughout the midrange."

IsoAcoustics will demonstrate its stands at the 133rd AES Convention in San Francisco's Moscone Center, October 27 to October 29.

IsoAcoustics stands are designed for professional studios, home studios and other desktop applications. For more information, visit www.isoacoustics.com.
