At InfoComm 08 in Las Vegas (booth #C3475/demo room N101) Klein + Hummel is showing its new KPA Series of audio power amplifiers, which are designed to drive large, demanding reinforcement applications. The KPA Series operates at levels as high as 6,000 watts into 2 ohms, down to models providing 1,100W into 8 ohms. The series also features Klein + Hummel's ability to daisy-chain amplifiers together using a single Cat-5 cable for both digital audio distribution and remote control monitoring of all amplifier functions, including load monitoring.
The KPA Series includes the single-rackspace KPA 2400, KPA 2290 and KPA 2220 2-channel high-power amplifiers. The units have both analog and direct K8 inputs. The K8 inputs offer the ability to feed the head-end of the Klein + Hummel K8 digital audio distribution system and select EtherSound, AES3 digital or analog inputs.
The KPA Series includes a power-saving stand-by mode, which aims to keep long-term ownership costs to a minimum. The company expects to ship its KPA Series of amplifiers in July 2008.
InfoComm 08 continues through Friday, June 20.
