Miko Mader, M1 Distribution's new Director of Operations

M1 Distribution, an international distribution channel for boutique audio equipment in Ferndale, Mich., announced that Miko Mader (pictured) has joined the M1 Distribution team as Director of Operations. Mader brings more than 12 years of experience to M1 Distribution, having last served as chief audio engineer and sound designer at post-production facility RMS Sound Studios in Birmingham, Mich.

M1 Distribution Director of Sales Mader Ryan McGuire asked Mader to join the company. McGuire had previously worked with Mader through M1's sister company, Vintage King Audio, a leading dealer of high-end boutique and vintage recording equipment.

RMS Studios is a longtime client of Vintage King, and over the years Mader served as RMS Studios' liaison when purchasing gear. His experience working with Vintage King on the "other side of the sale" contributes both a valuable skill set and knowledge base of the exclusive brands that M1 Distribution also represents, including Inward Connections, Barefoot Sound, and Shadow Hills Industries.

While working full-time with M1 Distribution, Mader will continue his career as an engineer and producer with a variety of artists throughout Michigan and beyond.

"I'm looking forward to applying my practical knowledge of sound design and engineering toward my new position at M1 Distribution," says Mader. "In just three years, the company has forged incredible relationships between the boutique equipment M1 represents and audio equipment dealers worldwide. I'm eager to develop strong relationships with existing members of the M1 network and to create new ones."
