Metalworks Institute in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is exclusively offering the Digidesign VENUE 210V Live Sound Production Certification course. The Course is designed for current or future operators of the digital console.

The two-day course focuses on configuration, operation, mixing techniques, and record/playback with Pro Tools. An optional three-day program provides an additional day of Pro Tools operation and management for VENUE operators, and includes the skills needed to record live shows. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to take the VENUE Certification exam, completion of which will result in a certificate from Digidesign, listing in the Digidesign Certification Directory and discounts in the Digidesign Education store for selected software and Pro Tools hardware.

Metalworks states that it is the only school in Canada offering this certification, and that its relationship with sister company Metalworks Production Group gives the school access to Digidesign’s D-Show Systems.

“Based on this relationship, we are able to provide this course allowing us to train our staff members, but also offer the pros and new students the ability to succeed in their fields with top-notch education.” says Craig Titus, director of Metalworks Institute. The course is designed to give a firm understanding of this new technology and a complete overview of the console.”

Metalworks Institute is an entertainment arts school, and the educational creation and natural extension of the world renowned Metalworks Studios.
