This year's NAB Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with conferences taking place April 14-19 and exhibits from April 16-19. The NAB show will cover the latest updates on recording, live sound and production, broadcast production, audio for film and video, sound design and mixing, music technology and more.

NAB also presents a dizzying array of product introductions, fueling the constant technological changes in the industry—from workflow to encoding to new wireless rules. Professional audio engineers, now comfortably operating in an all-digital infrastructure, need to stay on top of what’s new, what’s next and what’s real. And they need a guide that takes them beyond the products on the show floor and into the real world.

Located in the Central Hall, the Pro Audio Pit—produced in partnership with Mix, Pro Audio Review, and Pro Sound News— will feature 20-minute panel discussions on the current state of the art in numerous Pro Audio fields. These presentations will provide attendees with the high-level overview needed to efficiently navigate the latest and greatest.

Panels include the following:
• Production Music and Reality TV: A Case Study
• Field Recorders: Tips for Quality Recording Across Multiple Tracks
• Wireless System Setup for Event Production: Grammy Awards 2012
• Test and Measurement: Troubleshooting Common Audio Problems
• Encoding Multiple Audio Streams
• Audio Workflow/Storage Options
• Monitoring the Audio Chain: From Truck to Station to Air
• The Networked Facility: Moving Multichannel Audio Around the Station
• Field Recording: Effects and Ambience to Feed the Post-Production Mix
• Dialog Recording on Location: Mics, Mixing, Recorders, Delivery
• Monitoring for Multichannel Audio: Make Sure What You Hear Is What Makes It to Air
• Monitors: Room Tuning in Problematic Environments
• Codecs: Tips for Optimizing Delivery?
